This photo of a home at 113 South College Avenue shows an example of Greek revival style. At one time it was owned by Dr. and Mrs. James Parsons..The original home built by Reuben Cone was probably the front section to the north. Elisha Stewart built another part. Some further changes happened over the years, but the exterior has undergone very little change.

WQPT is bringing SuperWhy to the Geneseo Public Library District, Thursday, July 20th from 10:00-11:30 a.m. The library will have fun arts and crafts and fun activities open to the public! Thank you to the Geneseo Education Foundation and the Geneseo Kiwanis for making this possible.

This is a picture of Peterson's Davenport store which had a branch in Geneseo in the Freeman Building, later Klavohn Furniture and now Geneseo Furniture. Notice the board walks and hitching posts.

@ Your Library - A concert in tribute to Woody Guthrie, America's iconic folk ballad writer. Guthrie would be 105 on July 12. Master musician and storyteller, Mark Dvorak, will share biographical information, read from Guthrie's letters and essays, and play his songs . . . songs that endure as living documents of the times in which he lived and worked.

Thank you to Forest Park Nature Center for a great presentation! We learned a lot about local animal's nest and homes. Everyone loved the critters!

This photo is of Hammond Henry Hospital and was taken in 1939. In 1952 the hospital changed from a city-owned hospital to a hospital district. Shortly thereafter bonds were issued for construction of a new hospital building which was completed in 1954.
