This is a photo of the first motorized fire truck, a Stoughton pumper, 1926. Theodore Giebel was fire chief at that time. You can see the present museum building on the far right of the picture.

This photo is of Ensign John Cady Lough U.S.N.R., the first Geneseo man killed in action during World War II. He was a native of Geneseo and a graduate of the Geneseo Township High School in 1934. He was reported missing on June 4, 1942 during the Battle of Midway. He received a posthumous award of the navy cross for heroism. In January 1944 the U.S.S. Lough, destroyer escort vessel was launched in Massachusettes, having been named after Ensign Lough. His family was present for the event.

This photo is of a runabout that served for service calls and advertising belonged to Lester Roos who was an early distributor of Delco Light and Water Systems that brought electricity to the farm prior to the Rural Electrification Administration. Ca. 1929-1930.

This photo is by E.H. Harrington showing a group of people waiting to board at the Geneseo Depot, others gathered around arrivals and several observers who well may have been local newspaper reporters there to see "who is coming and who is going". Circa 1908.

This is an early photo of the First Lutheran Church located on Main Street. The Church was dedicated in 1886. The current First Lutheran Church is still located at this site.

This is a photo of the ruins of the Sargent carriage and road cart manufacturing complex that burned to the ground in 1910. Fortunately, one building was untouched, the 1845 building which houses Klavine Motors.
